So, the last post was pretty depressing. I am sorry to bore you with my sad details, but hey, this is the SuDan life- good and bad!
Anyway, We are getting adjusted in our little back house in my parents' backyard. It sure does make us realize how little you really need in life. It seems like all the stuff that we hold on to so tightly just weighs us down and when we really release it and live simply, the Lord is able to work so much easier. I guess we have both been learning about what the Lord can do when you push everything aside that the world says you need. You really need none of it and it is up to us to look past that and focus on what really matters- living a life for Him in the midst of so many who can't see past the forest to the trees, so to speak.
If you want to hear more about our new ideas that the Lord is teaching us, you can read about them in these two books that we have been reading:
Well, I can't leave you without an adorable little picture of June on her first flight with her Grandad flying. She didn't even blink an eye and fell asleep in our laps! :)
More to come on the new life in Lubbock and what is in store for SuDan, June, Vern, Meuf Te' and poor, displaced, little (or I guess, really big) Zeus-man, who is living with a friend in San Antonio until we find a house here....
