Complaints....

Pregnancy with June was wonderful and super easy, maybe some un-comforts here and there, but I definitely had a nice pregnancy. Pregnancy with Annie/Anne/(whatever Dan will agree to) has been the same thus far-relatively no interruption to life except the limited ability to play kickball (which doesn't even exist here in Lubbock, so no big deal)

That is, until this past week. Take a look at this lovely green shirt I wore the week before I gave birth to June- beautiful.

Now, take a look at the shirt again, worn yesterday.

That's right, do you see that little sliver of skin down there- that is what you would call "already bigger than last pregnancy and still have 8 weeks to go." This has been a not so nice realization to adjust to (I am so far not adjusted...) and has had me checking the sizes of my favorite tshirts and ordering them one size bigger online.

And if that wasnt enough, I have developed an extreme case of RLS. This is what lay people would call Restless Leg Syndrome, but us sufferers of the disease know it as it's elite medical term- RLS. If you don't know what it is, don't look it up. I wouldn't want you to mysteriously develop it, possibly hypochondriacally, by reading about it. Take my word for it- it is not good, and usually occurs for SuDan at about 11pm. I say SuDan because Dan is a sufferer as well, indirectly because I cannot encourage sleep in the same bed with me during this extreme time of suffering.

There are many home remedies, some of which occasionally work for me, but tomorrow, I am quitting all cafeine because I have read direct link studies indicting that that could be a cause. Whatever works...

And that is why I am up at midnight talking about not fitting into my clothes and having legs that someone injected with Mexican Jumping Beans- the joys of pregnancy. :) After this post, no more complaints! ;)

Sicky

This little munchkin has had fever all week, probably her first real week of being sick ever. No fun for her, probably, and definitely no fun for me! Its getting better today- hallelujah. Although, she has developed some whining and deep attachment to her mama....

Whirlwind fun

So I mentioned our crazy last two weeks. I will briefly relay our events and then leave you to ponder, because I can't think of anything clever at the moment.

We started off the last two weeks with a trip to San Francisco for Dan's cousin's wedding. Absolutely beautiful and SO fun and active with the coast, wineries, redwood forest and bike riding across the golden gate bridge (with Dan wearing his dorky bike helmet EVERYwhere) all in two days! We would live there in a heartbeat if a billion things ever lined up (but they won't-so don't worry, no more moves anytime soon!!)
Then, Sayed left :( . See previous post.

Then, I spent four days packing up the entire house while Dan was out of town (very convenient for him! ;) - no pictures of frantic packing, chasing June, and trying to catch the chickens every night before bed (that was Sayed's job!)

Then, on to my wonderful cousin's Jennie's wedding (and bridesmaids' luncheon)- we LOVE her new husband and the wedding was amazing! June was a darling little flower girl- hope to see a video of that soon because I was a bridesmaid and walked with her....
Then, on to San Antonio for a baby shower for little Annie (yes, that is what we are naming the next addition) thrown and attended by my fantastic Mahncke Park friends. We all worked on a quilt- it was SO fun- Courtney traced little fairies on the squares and everyone sewed their own. Then, she will make it all into a quilt- amazing!
THEN, the move! More stress, chickens, dogs, Zeus, boxes, u-hauls, late nights, and the satisfaction of it finally all being over!

And last, the Fourth of July- our first in Lubbock! There was actually a cute little parade and festival.
So, there you have it. The bare facts, none of the usual embellishments, but that's ok. I will be back to my usual self in the next few weeks when everything settles down again....
