Ok, the move is not THAT bad....

So, the last post was pretty depressing. I am sorry to bore you with my sad details, but hey, this is the SuDan life- good and bad!

Anyway, We are getting adjusted in our little back house in my parents' backyard. It sure does make us realize how little you really need in life. It seems like all the stuff that we hold on to so tightly just weighs us down and when we really release it and live simply, the Lord is able to work so much easier. I guess we have both been learning about what the Lord can do when you push everything aside that the world says you need. You really need none of it and it is up to us to look past that and focus on what really matters- living a life for Him in the midst of so many who can't see past the forest to the trees, so to speak.

If you want to hear more about our new ideas that the Lord is teaching us, you can read about them in these two books that we have been reading:

Well, I can't leave you without an adorable little picture of June on her first flight with her Grandad flying. She didn't even blink an eye and fell asleep in our laps! :)
More to come on the new life in Lubbock and what is in store for SuDan, June, Vern, Meuf Te' and poor, displaced, little (or I guess, really big) Zeus-man, who is living with a friend in San Antonio until we find a house here....

We moved??

We moved. And it is not so great. Here is my sweet friend, Laura's blog entry on our move. It will suffice for now, because I am too sad about leaving everyone to write anything.

We got here to Lubbock last night to a fantastic family and house, but Dan and I were sitting on the couch and I thought: Hmmm, today is wednesday. What do we have Wednesday night? Oh wait, nothing. We know no one and all our friends are back home.

So..... here we are. We are just learning to live out His plan and prepare for His next steps in our life.

Weekend with Asher and Selah

So, the countdown continues- only 7 days till the big move to Lubbock. Its going by so fast!
This past weekend, we had some of our friend's kids stay with us for the weekend- Asher and Selah. They could not have been more well behaved and we had such a fun time! Dan was the greatest playmate...
And I kept the fort down of course with all the planning of when and where to go and what to eat, etc.
Saturday night, we went to Bert and Julia's house and had one last get together with all the moms and babies (and Courtney, who is due any day!)
And June had such fun with her little friends that she is moving away from :(
But we are excited to start this new venture in life and leave the details up to the Lord. Only He can show us the right path to take and the best road to travel down. We work each day at leaving it in His hands, and not trying to take it in our own...
