2-Year Anniversary

YAY! We made it two years, with many more to go! Well, we actually haven't gotten there yet. It is in 7 days on June 23rd, but Dan knew that he would have to do something early to surprise me and he did!! He planned an anniversary get-a-way in Fredericksburg, where I have been wanting to go for a long time. We got to stay at this amazing Bed&Breakfast, and we had our very own house that had been built in 1871!!!! Dan sure does know me :)

Anyway, he even had a fun dinner booked
and we went to a steak (his favorite)and
sushi (my favorite)
place- what a wonderful idea!
(ahhh, everyone loves the set-up camera self picture!)

We got in lots of cute shopping and when we woke up in the morning to our very own terrace,

we had breakfast sitting outside waiting for us!

This cute cat came and jumped in my lap to eat my food and then just laid down in my lap and went to sleep- just perfect!

What a fun weekend- One of Dan's best planned surprises since the engagement :)

AND, we moved the desk!

Ok, so now that everyone knows how much I love my new desk, I am sure you will be interested to know that the desk has moved! One of our fun couch surfing friends might be coming to live with us and in order to give her her own private room, I had to bring the desk out for my summer routine now that I am out of school. YAY!

SO, the desk and the piano swapped places. The desk is now living in the dining room, while the piano has moved to the guest room. While we weren't sure how this transformation would work, it has turned out nicely and both are fitting in well.

And how about the cute printer's tray that Dan's mom gave me? I have been collecting and filling it with my favorite little knick knacks and got some pretty cute ones when we were in Italy over Spring Break! I wish I knew how to make inner house photos look professional like my favorite blogs, but for now, you will have to be stuck with these amateur ones...

OH! And I was able to put up my Paris Opera House pictures that I have been keeping in a closet for the last 4 years! I have never had anywhere to hang them, but after some re-arranging, they worked! Well, now you have seen into our house, and seen where I get to follow my morning summer routine that I am establishing as I type!

LAST kickball game of the season

I guess I, Dan have decided to be part of this blog thing. Suzanne is actually typing while I dicate, but I had to get this post in detailing our kickball accomplishments. For the second straight year, our season ended in the playoffs, for the second straight year........ no trophy :( It was a great time playing again with our neighborhood friends though. I decided my kickball days were over due to annoyance at lack of ability last year, so I am the #1 fan and photographer.

Suzanne's kickball games, however, are NOT over- she is the MOST competitive person in the entire league. Notice the picture of Suzanne running over the female equivalent of Prince Fielder.
She was not out!

And what would a kickball game be without Clay? He is definitely the team spirit/comedian. We were down in our last game by 1 and Clay kicked a single. Suzanne actually told the ump that Clay had permanent knee problems, so that she could sub herself in and pinch run for him. She scored, but then Clay challenged her to a race after the game and they tied! So, I had to have a talk with her on next time- not subbing in for a guy.

All in all, GREAT season- hopefully next year, we will take home the big win!

Mimi and Papa Visit!

So, we just had a quick little visit from Mimi and Papa a few days ago. 80 and going strong! They drove through on their way to Austin for Cousin James and Vincent's graduations. We talked them into going to eat sushi, but they ended up getting cooked food. :( They did love our favorite fried cheesecake though. Plus they got to stay with the SuDan household and get lots of love from Vern, Meuf Te' and Zeus.
