Instead

I LOVE this song. What a good message! Here are a few of the lyrics, but watch the video. Its so cute! :)

Instead of feeling bad
Be glad you got somewhere to go
Instead of feeling sad
Be happy you're not all alone
Instead of feeling low
Get high on everything you love
Instead of wastin' time
Feel good 'bout what you are dreaming of

Oh how I love....

Libraries!! Dan has said he will build me one out of our next living room and I can't wait for all my books to have a home in one place all in their respective categories grouped by genre. Here are a few of my inspirations.

Oh when the day comes, I will not be able to help myself from getting lost in the magic of all my books- such good friends...

Suzanne Day

I know NO ONE forgot that yesterday was Suzanne Day. Well, that is ok if you did, because the most important person didn't! This week is Dan's birthday week, so we have been having fun mornings with presents in bed, but that did not hinder him from remembering Suzanne Day! He brought me beautiful red lillies (because he of course has Tech on his mind) and was so proud of how they coincided with the upcoming game this weekend! They are enjoying my desk and I am enjoying their vibrance when I look up from work!

My good ole desk

My wonderful friend, Carol pointed out this song to me and it just made me SO happy listening to it at my dear old desk! I don't sit in a crammed cubicle like this guy (don't even pay attention to the silly viedo), but doesn't this song just warm your heart? It sure does mine and just helps me to feel so comfortable at my wonderful old desk that I love! Just listen and absorb the lyrics and think about your good ole desk. I think mine "does an arabesque every morning when I first arrive!" (click play below)

and just in case you forgot, here is MY good ole desk waiting for me every morning!

Cruising to Cozumel one time only!

Well, our cruise was an experience. We can say that at least. We saw some very interesting people who drank and ate ALOT and we had some good food and enjoyed some good shows. We were even able to check out many many examples of the coolest chest tattoos and are planning our matching ones as we speak!

But it was fun to go to karaoke every night and watch people just hilariously make fools out of themselves and during the day, lay next to the above ground pool....

Cozumel was great! We rented a jeep and went to Palincar Beach for the day, a recommendation by Dan's Dad, and relaxed all day with excellent service.

Then, back on the floating hotel and one more day at sea. We relaxed, hung out in our clean room alot, and had afternoon tea every day in the jazz lounge. It was nice to get away for some SuDan time and of course, the food was great! But, it will probably be our first and last cruise together... Next time: (as I have been saying all along) Paris!

New posting routine

Ok, so I have decided to expand my blog a little- you may notice the decor change to the sides. AHHH, change! Don't worry. Its nothing like Obamanos or anything. Its just that I have discovered that not much that is newsworthy happens in SuDan world, at least not that I think you would want to hear, so I am going to start putting some of my favorite decor options from my favorite Australian blogs that I read every day. They have impeccable taste! I hope not to alienate any of my 6 readers with this change, but am counting on the faithful to pull through and keep reading!

For the first post, and who knows when the second will be, I will show you something I hope to have someday- an old apothecary chest. Isn't it just dreamy?! Oh, and there is more than one kind!! Just think how many little knick knacks I could store in this magnificent piece of furniture and they could all be categorized and labeled!!

So, there you have it: the blog moving in a new direction! But do stay tuned for more of the SuDan life. It is moving right along nicely as well!
